Our users tried TWiki and found it too complicated. I still like the idea of UseMod Wiki running in the more elaborate Drupal style of overall site content. Mike is fond of KWiki which is a blend of balance, simplicity and usability.

Twiki? It's list of features is pretty impressive, including authentication, RSS, forms/templates, and CSS:

All in perl. :)

BTW, I'm also looking for something that allows the sharing of files. Not in the BitTorrent sense, but rather in the sense that more than one person can work on an OOoCalc spreadsheet, upload the file, and then others can download, change, and upload the file. WebDAV comes to mind, but I don't know enough about it to know if it is the right solution.

It should be doable with SVN+HTTP, this implements a backend WebDAV provider (Apache alone isn't sufficient. I think.) The main web interface would allow d/l of the latest version of the spreadsheet. Then using svn or any other WebDAV client, you could upload it back.
