Asking for similar experience and/or diagnostics on problem copying MEPIS
live CDs. Have IOMEGA 650 cdrw with USB connection. Works ok on reading data
and music. Locks up Linux computers on copying CD. Tried MEPIS K3 program on
laptop, and Roast program on Xandros 2.0. Was distressing as I had to delete
stuff to get room on hard drive of laptop since the aborted reads filled up
hard drive. And, had to delete SUSe and Xandros 1 on desktop, and reinstall
Xandros 2.0 to get room on hard drive to store cd. Tried "clone" and "copy
cd"(don't know difference), but wouldn't work Even more distressing, tried
it on old W98 computer with Nero5, and it copied MEPIS successfully, at 2x.
