(although I'm already hard at work on another book, about Knoppix, but more on that later).

Talking about a Knoppix book, has anyone successfully remastered Knoppix?

I tried to remaster Knoppix using the instructions in the Knoppix Hacks book. All I wanted to do was remaster Knoppix. No additions. No removals. So all I did was copy the files and then rebuild the ISO. However, the resulting ISO was ~ 760 MB, about 30 MB larger than the ISO from which it was created.

I was using Knoppix 3.6 and remastering under Fedora Core 1. I'll try again using Knoppix 3.6 and only Knoppix 3.6. But was wondering if anyone else had tried remastering.
