Fedora Core II sees that it's a Zip 100 however there is no support for it. Both Arlo and Will worked on trying to make the Zip 100 work on FC II but determinded that some code would have to be written to make the Zip 100 work.

Two questions: - have you tried using the Zip drive under Knoppix 3.6 or 3.7? - have you tried using FC3?

I ask because Xandros 2 uses the 2.4 kernel while FC2 and FC3 use the 2.6 kernel. Some things may have broken in the transition from 2.4 to 2.6. Knoppix 3.6 and 3.7 come with both the 2.4 and 2.6 kernels. So you could boot with the 2.4 kernel to see if it works, and then boot with the 2.6 kernel and see if you get the same results.

The reason to try FC3 is that it may have fixes that FC2 doesn't.

To boot Knoppix with the 2.6 kernel, type 'knoppix2.6' at the boot prompt.
