To show that this actually works, I'd like to take screen shots.
Does anyone remember how to take screen shots in Windows 98? Do I need a third party program?

<alt><printscreen>

Does that save it to a file? Or does it put it into the "Cut buffer" which then needs to be pasted in some program?

No, it copies to the clipboard. It's up to you to past from the clipboard into something.

OO Write works great, as does Windows Write (built-in). Of course, that assumes you want to eventually save as a .pdf, .. if you actually want to save it as an *image*, you would have to use something like 'Paint'. All have been tested in Win98.

The shame is that there is no simple way to *open* the .pdf with OO. I believe you can print the .pdf to a file as Postscript and then import, but I have not tried that.
