Ubuntu looks sweet.

If you like GNOME.

You know, from what little I've worked with it, I think I do like Gnome. At least I like Ubuntu's rendition of Gnome. Besides, this is the first Linux LiveCD that actually works on a my Mac. It doesn't work perfectly, but that's OK for now.

What works:
 - I get a functioning Gnome desktop
 - networking (wired)
 - X11
 - audio
 - mouse (touchpad)
 - keyboard
 - FireFox
 - GAIM

What doesn't work:
- no Thunderbird (what's up with that?)
- wireless (sees the device but doesn't load the right drivers)
- booting into a different runlevel
- changing to virtual terminals (maybe the key combination is different than I expect)
- Evolution (crashes Ubuntu when authenticating to Exchange)
- volume keys on keyboard
- it sort-of mounts the Apple harddrive (it can mount /dev/hda10, but only 4 files show. Where's the rest?)
