How do a find the name of a package that provides a file using apt?

I'm looking for a file called xml2-config. From googling, it appears as though this file should be /usr/bin/xml2-config. How can I find the .deb package that provides this file? I've tried:

  apt-cache search xml2-config

as well as a number of other variations from the man page without any luck.

Pointers in the right direction gladly accepted. In the mean time, I'll be googling.
