Anyone ever work with Bioconductor? Looks pretty nice for handling large sets of biological data, especially microarry, data:

A quick skim through this article, suggests that it is either built within R or relies heavily upon R:

Anyone here more familiar with Bioconductor? I'm most keen on knowing how it can connect to large datasets stored in databases, e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.
