Me, too. But a fair number of new users of Knoppix don't get that far. They tend to have trouble with the CD (e.g. bad burn) or getting X11 to run or some other problem that prevents them from booting. I wanted to create a page that acts like a reference point: "this is what you should see" or "you know you've fixed the problem when you see this."
