I'm not that familiar with setting up a printer under Knoppix or
KDE. How did you start the printer setup wizard? I tried using K >
Control Center > Peripherals > Printers, but got an error message
about not being able to connect to CUPS. Is CUPS necessary? If so,
how/where does one start CUPS with the GUI?
The problem is that my printer model # is not listed (Lexmark
Z715). I have tried all of the lexmark models hoping that the
drivers were the same, with no luck. Any suggestions?
My suspicions are that the Lexmark driver is not distributed with
Knoppix. However, I did find this page:
http://www.lexmark.com/US/products/info/linux/download_v2.html
although a quick browse through didn't mention the Z715.
I'm assuming the setup you have is a Windows machine with the Z715
attached.
