Since we've been talking about podcasts and delicious bookmarks, I thought I'd mention bloglines[1]. Like delicious is a social bookmarking service, bloglines is a social RSS aggregator and blog service. An RSS aggregator polls websites that have setup an RSS feed and tells you when new content has been posted. For example, Google News[2] has an RSS feed[3] for its Top Stories page. If you subscribe using Bloglines, you will see a number next to the subscription name each time new articles appear. While this may not seem that big of a deal for a single site, imagine if you regularly checked 20 or more websites: google news, yahoo news, distro watch, groklaw, etc. If you had to check each site manually for new content, that would chew up an enormous amount of time. Instead you can subscribe via Bloglines and have it check the sites for you. Also, since bloglines is a social RSS aggregator, you can share your RSS feeds with others. For example, I've shared up my RSS feeds[4], including podcasts.
If you do have a delicious account or a bloglines account that you'd like to share, please feel free to let us know.
