Just today I noticed that I can forward e-mails in gmail based on
filter rules. That made me wonder: is it possible to create a gmail
fork bomb?

1 - create a google mail account
2 - create a filter which filters for e-mail from itself and forwards
it to itself
3 - send a message from the gmail account to itself.

Is this possible? I would like to believe the e-mail RFC somehow
handles this scenario. If not the RFC, google itself must have thought

For real excitement modify step two to forward two copies. Sure,
it's not a true fork bomb. But it has the same pattern as a fork-bomb.

P.S: I really shouldn't be reading GEB and doing gmail at the same
time, especially at this hour. ;)

- Robert
