I've got Earthlink, which actually uses the SBC servers.
The speed is excellent, averaging 145K/Sec. down and 35K/sec uploads. I
am on the 61XX block of Washington. I believe the telephone building at
the corner of Delmar and Skinker is where the switches are located. I
understand that this speed is preety good for ADSL. I can download a
whole CD iso in a little over an hour, usually.

So, my suggestion is to go with SBC ADSL.
