Does Debian have a way to create/manage/remove network profiles? Under OS X I can create various network profiles (OS X calls them Network Locations; System Preferences > Network > Location > New Location) which allows me to easily configure network settings for various uses. For example, I have on called "Home" for my home settings, another called "Work" for work settings, another called "cwelug", "library", "bread co", etc. In each profile I can specify what interfaces (wireless, wired, firewire, modem, bluetooth, etc.) are available and how they are configured.
A few years ago I remember hacking Red Hat Linux (7.2?) to have something like a network profile. So, I was wondering if there's a better way than my own hacking. Also, this is under Debian instead of Red Hat. Regards, - Robert http://www.cwelug.org/downloads Help others get OpenSource software.
