You might want to check out the "View Source With" extension.  It can be
configured to allow you to open your page source in whatever editor you
choose.  I've only just downloaded it myself, so I can't say I have any
experience with it.  However, I added two different text editors and the
source opened up in both of them very quickly.  Doesn't include validation
