Try:

apt-get install mozilla-firefox

If not, on Debian, I installed it by downloading from mozilla.com
because of the recent logo licencing issue
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IceWeasel).  But Iceweasel doesn't come up
with an apt-cache search on Ubuntu 6.10.
