Interestingly, I recently had a discussion with someone about redundant voting. Personally, I think everyone should vote three times on the same ballot. Think of it as a simple redundancy check. Sure, it's extra work for the voter, but it's technologically simple to implement and has built-in error checking. IIRC, they do that a lot with written surveys.
