After a lot of searching I finally found what I think is a solution to the Ubuntu/Debian issue with ELO intellitouch screens on ttys0. I plan on trying it out either tomorrow or Monday.
As for the OpenBravo POS software. It works quite well. I like the interface on it, which includes a keypad and icons that can be tapped or clicked on. Thus, prices can be over-ridden by the cashier if needs be, or that function can be disabled. It seems to be well configured, and thought out. If it turns out that more terminals are needed in the future, I'll test out the OpenBravo ERP software that ties them to a server. One possible drawback is employee time cards. I didn't see a timekeeping function right off, but I may not have been on the right screen. Scott, I think this software is a keeper. You might want to take a look at it.
