Okay, folks. Here's the problem: I often find myself outside with my laptop, and the screen dims. In Ubuntu, at least, I have to press fn-f8 to brighten the screen. When I do so that little notification thing pops up and I have to hold fn-f8 until it disappears. After I press any other key, it dims again. Then I have to repeat, rinse. Then the screen will stay bright for about 5 minutes until it dims again. Then I have to repeat, rinse and repeat and rinse again to get it to stay bright for another 5 or so minutes.
Is there any way to stop this from happening?
