I've had the same problem with one of my apps and I have never been able 
to find a solution--the code-signed app being reported as "damaged" 
after download as a DMG. I will look into this further--thanks for 
describing your workflow.

I've been able to code-sign my cx_freeze app with a post-build command 
(I drive my overall build process with a shell script that calls 
cx_freeze as part of the process), but it's good that cx_freeze will 
support code-signing directly.
