Sorry just recently becoming familiar with CB...How do I "own" the cards and then release?

One aspect I can't get a handle on is the advanced combat calls for both players to use tactical combat cards that are played simultaneously. How does CB handle that since it seems like just a back and forth swapping of gmv files.
