To clarify (for myself, mostly)... Would this process of releasing ownership
to reveal card contents provide for secrecy? If my recollection is correct,
for the process to be reliable (absent complete trust) the reveal would need
to be a multi-step process, involving a few move files.

e.g. If player 1 releases ownership on his card, couldn't player 2 simply
view the opponent card content before deciding which card he wished to play?
To cure temptation, player 1 could lay his card on the board, still owned,
then player 2 would lay his card and release ownership. Player 1 would then
release ownership and continue play.

If the players have trust, the extra steps would be unnecessary, right?
