I tell a lie.. it won't work on counter Trays. Only the counters on the active 
map

it will work for any group in the preview pane, so if you draw a box around all 
the pieces, you could chose from all the counters.  That would be kind of 
tedious, but technically possible.

If you had 2 or 3 stacks close together, that would be very easy.

Thanks Mark, I'll give that a try. 

I presume it only works for pieces already in a stack on the board?  I was also 
trying to get it to work on pieces in the counter trays.  From Ken G's answer, 
I believe it does but I haven't had time to go back and test his method yet.
