I am in the Philippines... based on Kiki's e-mail
address, I believe he is in Indonesia.  Being in the
thrid world is much different than being in the UK. 
DSL?  Cable Modems??  Haha....  It will be years
before we see that technology, especially in outlying
areas.  Basically, here where I live we have two
choices.....  dialup or DirecPC.  With a dialup
connection, during times of day when a lot of people
are online (basically from 10AM until Midnight) I have
seen download speeds go as low as 5 bits per second
(not 5K, 5 bits!).  That is basically not even
useable.  With DirecPC we can regularly download files
at 15K/second.  A little bit different!

Wish I could have DSL!  Cable Modem... I'd kill for
that!  For now, though, I have to use what is
available!
