After your email I realized just how much I didn't
know about WISP. I would be switching from DSL 128KBS
$39.95 to WISP guaranteed 128KBS burstable to 1MBS for
$90.00 per month and they have other plans to
guaranteed 1MBS for $340.00 per month.
The antenna would be appx 12 miles, and we have pretty
good weather around here (North Texas) not the
prettiest area around but it's livable. (barely)
The equipment would run me $1500.00 and I get to keep
it.
I'm not sure on the Freq. hopper, the person I talked
to new the basics.
They have been offering services in town for quite a
few years and they are a very dependable service but
have only recently started to offer WISP.
Let me know what you think of the pricing, to me
$90.00 doesn't seem to bad. I'm not sure about the
cost of equipment, whether that is good or not.
Guaranteed 128KBS sounds nice and they said I will see
a lot faster speeds than that for the most part.
I could go either way on this, thanks for your input.
