Robbers killed as getaway car hits truck
Four men speeding away from a home they had just robbed
were killed when their getaway car slammed into a truck
near Cape Town in South Africa.
The men had broken into a house in Durbanville and tied
up the couple that lived there, said police Superintendent
Wicus Holtzhausen.
The robbers then ransacked the home, and fled in the
couple's Nissan with two guns, some jewellery and cash
they had stolen.
As they sped away, the robbers collided with a truck, Mr
Holtzhausen said. Three of the men were killed instantly,
the fourth died on the way to hospital.
