Of course Bisley has a range safety cert. Just because
you cannot use a particular firearm does not stop the
range from being used, the range safety cert was designed
under the Defence of the Realm Act to give the military
information as to what and where, not just to allow us to
go bang.

Nick,

So, if a member of our club wants to test-fire, say, a rifle in
7.62NATO, for which the range is not approved, we have always refused
this in the past. Do you mean to say that firing something outside the
range safety certificate is not a crime?

I think what he is saying is that the range certification was
designed for the benefit of the MoD, not us, and the MoD don't
have to worry about what kind of guns are legal or not.

Steve.
