pistols on the lack of shooters in still legal
diciplines. It does not stop the Clay Target Shooters
from winning medals."

Yes we can. I was first attracted to shooting by PP1
and 1500 shooters. Later I found that I was more suited
to UIT type events. As I was improving my follow through,
I was intending to try out air pistol events and possibly
purchase a decent quality air pistol. Had I not been able
to buy my first revolver for L125, I doubt that I would
have 'moved on' to other types of competitions. Remember,
it's not only what is (still) available, but also what
attracts people in the first place that can be crucial.

A lot of ISSF pistol shooters (like Mick) are multi-discipline
also, get rid of one and it makes it harder to continue the
other. All the travel costs to compete only in air pistol
undoubtedly makes it less appealing.
