From: "Tom Charnock", [EMAIL PROTECTED] I shot this at a place about 50km north of Oslo about 8 years ago. Was outstanding Military range complex, I think out to 4/500m. Best practice was a 100m range with an "Indiana Jones" mining rail track laying across range, the high end at 70m from targets, the low end at 20m distance from a group of 20 shoots and 5 no-shoot targets. You climbed into the mine truck (yes just like the old wild west ones), loaded, safety on, and released handle which was brake. Truck started down track, gathering speed. When you passed shoot line, off safety, engage the mass of target. As you went further along, you got faster, and the targets and no-shoots all overlapped each other so shoot throughs was a problem. When you got to Cease Shoot line you did so, well for 2 reasons (your choice of which!!) 1) you were supposed to 2) you had to yank onto the handbrake or you went straight off the end of the track. I had un-scoped HK G3, put on 30 round mag and shot off the whole mag. From shoot to cease line was averaged less than 20 secs. Got 3rd in that stage, despite my pray and spray approach (and one friendly). Tried to trade all my other stages so I could re-shoot this all day, but not allowed. ======================================= If its this place, I would love to go again. I will speak to some friends in Norway and try get dates etc. Tried looking at the IPSC site (US one give you Norway link) http://www.ipsc.org/ipsc.htm but no dates specified Tom C -- Oh heck, try that with a bolt-action!
