Steve, the correspondent of the
above, is right! In the Chelmsford 1944 Club there is now a very active Air
Weapons section. They are full of get up and go, developing all sorts of
ideas to encourage an interest in the sport. Their
most recent is moving target for Air Rifle similar
the BSRC at Bisley. Besides!! when we compete at the latter we need all the
practice and help we can get. They usually give us a drubbing in their
Interclub comps--- and that sure motivates one to get of the backside and
improve skills. Needless to say it also promotes interest. Our club has
already had several successful official open nights
in accordance with current rules. Not only do we point out the fun and
skills required of the sport but also illustrate the devious and underhand
agenda conducted by Politicians, Bureaucracy and Judiciary to eliminate this
wonderful self disciplined sport, which has always been the case,
in the past Century, and why!! There is always more than one way to skin a
rabbit!! These visitors then go out and pass the Buzz, as well as developing
a healthy interest in the Sport itself.

By all means, get everyone you know to try shooting, whether it be
with an air rifle or anything else legal!
Steve.
