Thanks for the help and comments so far.

I typed yesterdays e-mail in a bit of a hurry.
Just to give you some further information, the range
in question is an indoor range, not passed for slug (we
use SG to minimize damage to lintex). When the MOD
inspected the range we were warned to exercise a duty
of care since shotgun can damage lintex faster that
bullets, it's this point the police have grabbed and
yes we feel that we are been blackmailed in order to
allow the police to inspect the range.
Further more the police have been down to other pieces
of land we use and told that these are unsuitable for
practical shotgun, but in the same breath said there
OK for clay pigeons. They have requested my FAC back
in 21 days (the letter arrived 6 days after the date
shown on top). We are trying to get a new piece of
land checked by a neighbouring police force and surprise
they can't inspect for another two week, I feel I am
been timed out. We have contacted the UKPSA on the
subject and are still waiting to hear from them, so if
there is a board member on the list could you please
contact me, quickly.
Any other comments or advise would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Again

I'm not sure the police opinion about the land is
relevant, if your club is UKPSA affiliated and your
club decides to hold a match there, you are within
the condition on your FAC.

If I were you I would just tell them that your club
is not the only place you use your shotgun, and if
they ask where you do use it, I would copy the
condition off your FAC back to them. If you
want to be polite you could tell them that you
have decided to shoot at Minsterley or wherever
until your own club gets sorted with the land.

There's no requirement you be a member of a club
to have a Section 1 shotgun. You could go down
to Minsterley or Harlow, pay the range fee and
shoot to your heart's content. They're UKPSA
affiliated clubs, it's their land, therefore you
are within the condition on your FAC.

If your condition is the same as mine, there's no
need to even be at a club, any UKPSA-sanctioned
match on any piece of land anywhere will do.

Steve.
