More to the point people like Anne Pearston and Gill
Marshall Andrews are the problem not the solution. Their
attitude is preventing rational debate that could have
enabled sensible and working amendments to firearms law
via dialogue not confrontation. As a result of the
attitude of people such as this we now have laws that do
not address the real issues and the real criminals look
on laughing. Misuse of guns in crime has increased. The
law is brought into disrepute as a result of emotional
knee-jerk attitudes and more people are therefore put at
risk.
