I have received a rather stupid letter from the FCS saying they will not be making any more interest payments, because they have no "authority" to do so. This seems odd as the courts never ruled that compensation was payable to David Steed but they did pay him. The only solution is to sue en masse. As winning is pretty certain and it only takes a small amount of time to fill in the paperwork and a small amount to file it, I suggest we all do it! David Steed used the following formula for calculating the interest owed him: On A&B claims, a rate of 8% pa from 30 days after the claim was lodged until payment was received. For Option C, 60 days after the claim was lodged. If we use his formula and you were waiting at least as long as David, it will be very hard for the Govt. to win IMO.
