And The NRA is expensive at ~50 quid a year. I'm still biased against BASC 
(and still deeply mistrust them and their leadership) after the '89 AGM.

The NRA had only 1034 votes cast at council elections this year - the would 
be so easy to 'take over' its untrue. BASC (after witnessing the 89 AGM) 
would not be that easy to manipulate and sway.

Probably not but BASC has 130,000 members, the NRA has less than
5,000 - which politician is going to care about opposition from
the NRA?
