A quick look at the details of nominating someone for an honour. On the site
just listed.
The form is very simple.
They require letters of support from others who have personal experience of
the persons contribution and there are five slots on the form for listing
these.
Nominations will take 12 to 18 months to bring any possible result. Though
the result we are probably looking for will be acheived merely by the
submission.
I may ask around at the club next time I'm down to see if anyone feels
literate.

I wouldn't have thought it would be difficult to get some letters
of support, as I recall you only need one. A pile of nominations
surely serves the same purpose.
