Wooahh! Come on to be fair Richard this is a bit out of order re what the
lady said in her post. I've never been pistol shooting but I made sure I
understood the issues from those that did before I formed a view. If I
didn't shoot I wouldn't be able to understand the issues properly. I don't
think its that unreasonable for someone to suggest partaking in a hunt would
help to understand it. It doesn't seem helpful to equate this with murder or
rape as our society does not equate animals and humans otherwise veganism
would become compulsory. For my part I do respect your personal view that
you are not keen on hunting. The key thing is that all of us are entitled to
our views but when some people (MP's) set out to convert personal views into
laws they have a duty to justify them logically such that those laws are
consistent, proportionate and enforceable. The ban on pistol shooting and
the ban on hunting fail such tests.
