Yes, this is true. The population of Paris in 1900 was 2.50 million. In 2000
it was 2.25 million. But without the brave efforts of the French Government
we wouldn't enjoy, when visiting friends and lovers in Paris the benefits of
the RER railway network!
Some of these suburbs are quite "awful" but not as "bloody awful" as they
would be if the English lived in them!
