It would be wise, Mr Sukey, before you proclaim to the world what I have
or have not done, to obtain the facts.

For the record, I spent ten years regular service ('active service' in
US but not UK terms) in the Royal Air Force with combat squadrons in the
UK and Germany, serving on Vulcan, Jaguar, and Tornadoes.  I've known
more than a few aircrew.
