Steve, & Nick,
The reason these 'liars' are able to get away with what they do,
is that the opposition have very few people which have their stuff together
enough to reply quickly to these attacks, with finesse.
Does the saying 'asleep at the switch' come to mind?
Then again, maybe the real problem is that those who should
be working on your behalf don't feel the need to work on your behalf.
If you aren't a seriously large enough group, what impact can
you possibly have?
We here in the US get the same treatment with the Republican
party, i.e., they keep telling us that they are the only game in
town. Yet their
effectiveness is essentially a northwest Washington weather forecast: partly
cloudy to overcast; possible showers with high winds, followed by 'more
of the same.'
