<Wasn't that same technique employed or attempted to be employed on an Arnie
Schwartznegger movie one time some years ago? I wonder if that's where they
got the idea? What was that movie called?

Cheers, David Barton, Australia.

I do seem to recall a movie like that, can't even remember who was in
it let alone what it was called.

Steve.>

I don't know about a Schwarzenegger movie, but I remember the 'gun in the
camera' gimmick being used in the excellent Irvin Kirshner 1970s espionage
spoof S*P*Y*S, and more recently in 'The Bodyguard' with Kevin Costner. (I
find it ironic that Costner is reported to be anti-gun on the recently
posted 'name and shame' bit of the NRA-ILA website, but then this seems to
apply to quite a few Hollywood actors.)

However I think that its a bit unlikely that the members of the Belgian
police Special Intervention Unit are movie buffs. The rumour about the
camera gun being acquired from Germany seems more likely - It sounds like
the sort of gizmo that GSG9 might have handy in the cupboard.

I tend to agree that the actions of the gentleman in question did rather
justify a lethal response from the police. Mind you, he wouldn't have got
that far in an Israeli kindergarten :-)

I actually wonder whether Arnie bothered to register his H&K 91 back
in 1989 as I know he owns one.
