From: nick royall, [EMAIL PROTECTED] On some of the earlier Browning Hi Powers the ejector, which is held in place along with the hammer by the safety catch, can shear inside the slide and foul. It then acts as a firing pin or damages the safety so it cannot be applied resulting in said gun working when it shouldnt. It will, to a cursory glance appear to be OK and you will be penalised for a ND rather than the AD that occurred. Later made guns had meatier parts and did not give this problem as far as I know.
