G3 has trigger pull like 5 miles of gravel road, but suppose
the germans like it because it more closely resembles their
old Sturmgewher. SLR sights seem to be more user friendly.

The G3 trigger isn't quite that bad in my experience. It's better
than the FAL because it's simpler - no gas system. Much
easier to strip and clean.
And I totally don't understand your comment about the sights,
the G3 sights IMO are vastly superior.
