Raider shot dead by homeowner with one eye An 82-year-old American with one eye, Harvey Faulk, shot at two intruders who stole his wallet and beer - killing one of them. Two men forced their way into Faulk's house in Chadbourn, North Carolina, USA, and demanded his wallet. He dropped it and as they were scrambling about for the money, he pulled out his gun, APB News.com reports. "I know I did the right thing for trying to defend my life. They were shooting at me," he said. "I was just trying to scare them. I wasn't shooting to kill." Detective captain Roy Norris of the Columbus county sheriff's office said the two suspects fled - one through the front door, the other through a window. Faulk did not realise he had shot 19 year-old Travis Frink twice and called relatives before he telephoned police. When he told them that one of the intruders was wearing red, one of the relatives remembered seeing something red outside. They found Frink's dead body 50 feet from Faulk's front door. Assistant district attorney Lee Bollinger says he is waiting for the sheriff's department to analyse ballistic evidence before making a decision on filing charges against Faulk.
