Tim,
Glad to hear that you weren't hurt seriously, i.e , didn't break bones or
worse. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
James

Subject: [COWs] Wednesday Ride Report!

We had 5 riders for the Wed. evening ride this
week. Matt, Dan, Mike K., David C. & myself once again battled 20+ mph
winds. It was hard going all the way to Bailey. Leaving Bailey
heading towards Conner on Old Smithfield Rd. we were ambushed by a black
lab and a +/-130 lb. Rottweiler. All those miles last year without going
down I was overdue so I took one for the team. I t-boned the horse as he
slid in front of my wheel. We were both putting on the brakes but that dog
was so big he just slid across the asphalt. Man vs. Dog I did ok as
I laid him over and he lost some fur in the process, but Man vs.
Asphalt I didn't do so well. Mike also decided to lay his bike down to
give me some company there on the asphalt. He and his bike seemed
ok. As we were leaving the scene after a few minutes of shaking off
the cobwebs and doing some minor bike repairs the dog charged us again. I
took a short cut from there and limped home after I convinced the group to
continue on the planned route. Where are those
pills.......
