Home by 5 and wrapped up tight. Sounded in pretty good spirits. This could have been much worse. There were a lot of cars on millbranch today. Especially that big a$$ tractor rig that zoomed by as we were figuring out what to do. I think I am gonna start packing those 2 six shooters here soon! get well quick there Dale dude! Teresa and Melody went back to their shopping duties and the small world we live in-- the people at Gracies, 58N, knew Dale and his wife and mother in law very well. They insisted on taking Dale's bike and make sure it got back home. Pretty cool and dang small world. Hope no ribbing goes along w/ that. You mean doc carries morph on these rides? I think I am gonna fall more often! I was wondering why Jim was in such a hurry to get back....... he wanted to blow leaves. I think the only time in my life I have seen him is biking and yep you guessed it, blowing leaves! Mt Vernon never looked so good. Again, 9 riders total for today's ride. Jim, Jeff, Josh, Turbo Dan, Steve T., surf dude, Tim S., Dale and I cruised Cliftonville, Bend of the River, Sharpsburg, Town Creek and Elm City. First crash of 2010 happened in Sharpsburg. Dale hearing some traffic behind him moved over to the edge of the road and went just a little too far and slid off the edge of pavement then came crashing down on the asphalt. He took the brunt of the hit and saved his bike but it appears he may have a broken his collar bone. Total bummer!! He was doing ok but the pain started creeping in and Doc wasn't around with the morphine so he rode the meat wagon to the ER. Hope all is well Dale! Eventually we continued on and the rest of us finished our ride. We split up into two groups at Town Creek and those that still had time continued on to Bridgersville and ended up with 41 miles. Tomorrow is iffy, 65 degrees but a little wet, I'll try to hold out for the 2:00 ride unless the rain forces an earlier ride. I'll post regardless. Thanks to Teresa for taking Dale's bike back to Wilson! Tim -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CyclistsOfWilson-COWs" group.
