Yes, you have plenty of time for the 100. You are already riding well
and your dedication is right on! The BSG is only a race to those who
wish it to be. They actually give you 9 to10 hours to finish the ride.
Before the event I would ride at least 2 or 3 (100 mile) rides and maybe
a 125 for added assurance. Maybe sign up for a couple of spring century
rides. Multiple trips up Conner will help as well. Anyone who hasn't
ridden 18% grades should plan on a practice trip to the mountains to
make sure you are man enough for your bikes gearing. Riding a 53/39
chainring could be very difficult with repeated climbs, so you may need
to change the gearing on your bike if you don't have a triple or a 50/34
compact.

I hate that I missed the group ride. I got in about 15 miles at the Y
this morning, and then I cranked out 20 more on the road this afternoon.
I second the "welcome sunshine" shout out. It felt good to have the sun
on my face.

Hmmm, I like the thought of training for the BSG ride, but I'm not sure
I can get ready in time. Any suggestions. You all have seen me in the
saddle. Can I get ready for the 100 miler, or should I go for the 50?

Chris, David & I cruised our regular Sims route with minor detour. Just
a few wet spots but mostly dry. It was worth getting the bike a little
dirty for a chance to get outside. No spin cycle tonight, Yippee !!!
