I did not fully understand the purpose of the COWS list serve. Correction noted. No more solo reports from me.

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. Will Durant, The Story of Philosophy

Subject: [COWs] The Gucci Saturday Ride Report

I didn't ride out with the other Good Friday riders, because I did a time trial earlier this week, did some math, and figured out that you all ride too fast for me :) I can keep up, some of the time, but I need to put in a lot more miles at a lower heart rate to build up my body. Nothin personal. You all don't stink or anything, you just make me look out of shape.

As for no counts on solo ride reports, must I remind Nick that God sees everything. The Reverend Gucci has God to witness his rides. So, here is my report for the day: I left out around 3:30 this afternoon, and rode 32 miles: Packhouse, Old Bailey, Bend of the River, 97, London Church, Lake Wilson. I shaved my goatee and it added two miles an hour to what I normally average. So I cruised at about 18 1/2 miles an hour. I think I might shave my legs too and kick it up to 19 1/2.

Big milestone for me . . . coming down London Church Road, I crossed over the 1000th road mile for the year. At this rate I will catch up with Lucas in about 5 years.
