every sunday, we leave at 2:00 from the vacant starbucks at the corner
of Hwy 58 (W. Nash St) and Ward Blvd (right beside Walgreen's). 18-20
mph depending on who shows up and what time of year it is. generally
35+ mi in the summer.

saturday fluctuates about time, but is now around 7:30 am. this time of
year, 40-60 mi at 18-19 pace, again depending on who shows.

tues/thurs group leaves about 6:00 from tim lucas's house on cloverdale
in wilson. about 35 mi at 17+ pace.

wed group is a bit scattered. leaves around 5:30 (from the ymca? new
checkers grill?)

group doing 100k in scotland neck on may 15. i think a 100k is in rocky
mount on may 22.

and, in honor of tim sharp shredding his derauiller, those not doing the
blood, sweat and gears were doing the blood, sweat and beers ride in
wilson, but we're changing that to "blood, sweat and no gears". ralph
moore has volunteered to let us use his office to store a cooler full of
cold ones for the post ride party. we can call pizza hut about 15 mins
before we get back to deliver some pizzas, and in lieu of a live hall &
oates jam, i'll bring my ipod and mini speakers for the music.

Subject: [COWs] Riding Buddies

Hello all, my name is Derek. I'm brand new to the group and live
just off of NC Hwy 97 on Sugar Hill Rd. I was wondering if there was
anybody here that rides around the 18/19/20 mph pace that I might be
able to get together with to start doing some riding on a regular basis.
I was thinking maybe about 130 to 150 miles a week to start with?

Very respectfully,

Derek J. Belhumeur
