How about we all ride to the last service in full COW kit and sit in the front row. :-)

SMU accepted my wife into their Masters of Sacred Music Program, and they gave her a full ride. We had a hard time saying no to that. I will preach my last sermon at FCC on August the 1st. I have a clergy conference in Boston the following week, and we will probably move the week after that. I don't know when I will last ride with the CoWs, but I hope we can make it a long one that ends, perhaps in a goodbye beer. I have already started looking for clubs in Dallas, and they have lots to choose from :) But, just like no girl ever replaces that first kiss, no other club could replace ya'll. You all broke me into the sport nice and easy, very gentle like! Goose Rev. Joshua M.K. Goocey Senior Minister First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 207 Tarboro St. N. Trek isn't putting Dura Ace on anything except the really high end stuff. Others are probably doing the same due to the cost. There is a huge difference in price from Ultegra to Dura Ace with very little performance returns that are noticeable. SRAM has a good line that is comparable to Shimano's top three lines. The shifting is slightly different tho. All this is due to "trickle-down" design technology & innovation. You may generally pay more for "staged" upgrades as you won't get any potential "package" discount. If you are looking to eventually upgrade all the drivetrain & shifting components, it would probably make more sense to invest in a higher end bike. For the BSG you will definitely need to get a lower geared cassette, especially if you have a "standard" crankset. Not knowing what your set-up is now, no suggestions as to how low can be given. I currently have the low end Sora components. Unfortunately, with the impending move to dallas, I cant shell out between 1000-1400 bucks right now for a full drivetrain upgrade. Does it make sense to upgrade one component at a time. In this case I think I will need to upgrade the cassette and the deraiuler at the same time. Also, does any one have any arguments for getting SRAM or another brand of components? Goose Rev. Joshua M.K. Goocey Senior Minister First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 207 Tarboro St. N.
