Great ride today. Thanks to Bob for being such a great sport when I blew slam
up. First ride that I used all my gears on. I have a lot of work to do. As for
DC being sick, whatever!

Steven Brake, David Caudle and I traveled to Oxford, NC to fight the hills,
rain and wind in Granville County. It was a great route with about 2500 ft
of climbing on low traffic roads; the route is at the link below. The ride
started out with a spirited leadout by DC that took us up and down the hills at
20 mph average. Steven and I stayed with DC until we successfully dropped
him off the front on the big hill near the 32 mile mark. We did not see
him again. Steven and I slogged through the remaining hills and the
headwind (last 10 miles) to finish with an 18 mph average for 63+ miles.
It was a lot of fun.
